Gandyl the Grey Caption Contest Winners Announced! (also, incidental Revlon Loot Alert)

Greetings from behind the storyboard, fellow rogues!

So…I have a problem (#rogueproblems ?) I can’t delay the announcement of the winners for this contest any longer, but I also can’t decide on a supreme winner! Thank you to everyone who entered – your entries were all fantastic, and I…can’t decide. You know the feeling – it’s like standing in front of a bunch of overflowing treasure chests, and the annoying little kobold warlock guarding them will only let you pick one. You guys know what that’s like, right?…what was – NO! I didn’t just kill the kobold and take the lot. Jeez… 😛

Anyway, for the moment, I can most certainly announce the badge prizes! Yes, I have not totally copped out on you, never fear! (Honestly, if you’d all just stop writing such damned cute captions, this would have been a lot easier…)

In no particular order –

For knowing Gandyl’s true priority (destroying the One Biscuit, by eating it), Ooly and Karen receive The Giddy Rogue Award for Biscuit Based Mayhem!

For being uncannily aware of things that go through the mind of an idle rogue, Jaa and Zaina receive the Internal Monoroguealogue Award for Thinking Like a True Thief!

For their Tolkienesque, RP-worthy offerings, Nikki and Aditi receive the Eloquent Wizard Award for Literary Adventurousness!

As I mentioned in the title, I have an incidental Revlon Loot Alert for all my fellow rogues in Middle Earth (NZ). I didn’t get to take full swatch photos, but I wanted to give the heads up, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to pop up a couple of photos of some new LE Revlon collections. Here we have the Spider Man 2 Electric Chrome Collection and this year’s Gucci Wetman collaboration, which appears to be Rio themed! These were both spotted at Farmers (Botany), although presumably the usual Revlon hoards will have them eventually!

 

Spiderman 2 collection, wedged in probably the darkest corner of the counter they could find…

 

This one has all the sparkle and shimmer you could want, including a #bluenotblue lipgloss! There are also a few bits of the permanent collection (lip butters, eyeshadows) featured for Gwen Stacy looks.

I really want all the lipglosses from this collection, actually, but the awesome two-for-one deal that they had going for lip products is over, sadly 😦

 

 

The rather unexpected Rio collection!

 

This collection features a BRIGHT HOT BARBIE PINK matte lipstick, a rather fetching sheer orange lipstick, a pale nude frost lipstick (!?!) and everything you see here except the gold fleck nail polish that was sold out, and possibly another lipstick (by the look of that empty circle at the end – seems to have been a nude creme?). The whole thing has a slightly jumbled, slightly ’80s vibe to me – wonder if I can dig out that old rogue armour with the giant shoulder pads…? From what I can tell, the polishes are LE, but the lipsticks might be permanent!
