Battle-Ready Red Lipsticks!

The Rogue's Guide to Battle Ready Red Lipsticks

What are YOUR Battle Ready Red LIpsticks? 😀 I wanna know!

The new section here is the dwelling place of that bold and emboldening character, the ‘perfect’ Battle-Ready red lipstick! My relationship with red lispticks is generally limited to ‘blue reds that have a bit (or a lot) of gloss to them’, because I find them to be both striking and versatile. I’ve actually written two posts before on what I consider to be excellent, essential red lipsticks that will work for almost any adventurer out there! They are both linked below, and are (spoiler alert?) for Revlon Fire and Ice, and Estee Lauder Rich Red.

One of my favourite things about red lipstick is just how many of them are on offer, such that I absolutely believe there’s something out there (probably closer than you think) for every adventurer. It’s not like purple, where you often have to struggle to find something that isn’t cop-out burgundy when you swatch it, or that elusive concept ‘nude’, which can often seem to exist for everyone but oneself. Nope – if you want a red with which to anoint your lips before going into battle, there’s one for you!

Why ‘Battle Ready?’ well, it’s not exactly a secret that red lips are a symbol of feminine power and sexuality (or possibly sensuality. or arousal. or something). While you want to keep your mind on the battle at hand (and not on how attractive that nearby bard is…), you also want to go out onto the battlefield – whatever your personal one is – with your head held high and your battle cry framed by a lipstick that makes you feel ten feet tall and invincible. Red lipstick is a great way to to this. It’s not the only way, but it is a very effective one!

Estee Lauder Rich Red Lipstick

Bard vs lipstick? Both of them are ready for battle though!

That being said, one of the things I found hardest about red lisptick is seeing oneself in it for the first time (especially opaque reds). I feel like red is one of those colours that you think you’re going to love (because, well, it’s *red*), and people seem to wear a lot, but then you put it on and you’re all HOLY GELATINOUS CUBES THAT’S GROWN UP! This goes double when, like me, you are flurescently pale and the bold red on your lips stands out a mile. Don’t get me wrong, I love the effect of blood red on snow white (just wish I had dark hair…), but it is pretty arresting the first time you see it in the mirror ;-).

Anyway, all rambling aside. here is a little picture swatch guide I put together of some of my favourite battle-ready red lispticks! Some are variations on existing ones (I don’t actually own all that many reds – well, for a lipstick addict, anyway 😉 ), but they’re all favourites of mine. You can click the picture to enlarge it for the text if necessary!

What can YOU do? Why you can share with me your own personal favourite Battle-Ready Reds! Lipstick or gloss, just tell me what it is, why you like it, and what your skintone/colouring is so other adventurers like you can find a new favourite! Comment below, on this post, or send me an email!

After the picture you will find (shortly, I hope!) a wealth of links to reviews and swatches of warrior-worthy red lipsticks, from a number of wonderful and generous adventurers who share them with me (RIGHT, GUYS?! :-D). I would love to get as many different lipsticks and skin tones and lip pigmentations and undertones represented here as possible, so even if your favourite is already up, SEND MOAR! 😀

The Rogue's Guide to Battle-Ready Red Lipsticks

Mmmm..blood of the damned… UH, WHAT?! NO, I SAID NOTHING.

On this cool-toned vampire…

Clinique Chubby Stick in Two Ton Tomato (sheer bright orange red that somehow looks more pink red on me)

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Fire and Ice (you kind of have to see this one to believe it. Punchy bright red that can pull either cool or warm depending on the wearer!)

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Wild Watermelon (translucent balmy red goodness, with a bright pink/coral hint to it)

Nyx Butter Gloss in Cherry Pie (The perfect (artificial)cherry red gloss ;-). For bonus points, also smells delicious!)

Benefit Benetint (kind of a rosy red pinkish something lipstain. Very versatile and handy!)

Ana Hilwa lipstick in Tarut (with Bahaa gloss) (An odd shade, that pulls kind of pink and kind of red on me, but muted. Adding the raspberry gloss upgrades it!)

Lancome L’Absolu Rouge in #132 (A perfect, classic blue red with a satin finish. Bonus: hydrating and comfortable!) I totally need to review these Lancome ones…

Lancome Rouge in Love in #159B (warmer and brighter than #132 above, and a little sheerer/juicier as well)

Estee Lauder Signature Lipstick in Rich Red (A perfect, juicy, bloody red that can be as opaque as you like, but still retains its depth and shine)

The Inside Scoop from My Fellow Bloggy Adventurers!

Jaa from Hello Jaa! (an NC30 sorceress)

MAC Riri Woo (a classic red, a little more toned down)

Stila Beso (OUTRIGHT BRIGHT RED! 😀 )

Auxiliary Beauty (A fellow cool-neutral vampire, with dark brown hair and green eyes)

YSL Glossy Stain #11 Rouge Gouache (Bright pinky red with a lacquer finish).

Maybelline Vivids lipstick in On Fire Red (Blue-red with a glossy finish and a very comfortable formula).

Maybelline Vivids Lipstick in Vibrant Mandarin (This seems to look orange or pink on everyone else in the world, but it looks like a coral-red on me)

NYX Matte Lipsticks in Bloody Mary and Alabama (Pinky red and brick-red, respectively. I love the NYX matte formula, too).

NARS Sheer Lipstick in Flamenco (Semi-sheer, buildable cool red).

Revlon Lip Butter in Red Velvet (Semi-sheer brick red, slightly more opaque than Flamenco).

Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple (Semi-sheer orange-red).

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Mysterious Red (it was limited edition for last Fall, but it’s the perfect matte red. Slightly more cool than warm, but pretty much neutral. And perfect. Did I say perfect?)

Teresa from BrushandBullet (an NC30,  fellow Middle-Earth – NZ – adventurer!)

Dior Addict Fluid Stick in Vie d’Enfer

Ellis Faas Milky Lips in L201

OCC Lip Tar in Stalker

Lipstick Queen Red Sinner (perhaps the all time favourite).

Melissa from KissandMakeup

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick in Red Ego (A dark red berry – Melissa isn’t a red-mage per se, but I’m linking this here because she looks UTTERLY FABULOUS in it, plus she does an epically beautiful flapper-inspired look in this post!).

Sunny from Mostly Sunny

Tom Ford Diabolique (it was LE, but you totally need to go see Sunny in it, because hot damn! does she look good…)

Liz from Beauty Reductionista

I like them ALL. Here are a few favourites:

YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 01 Le Rouge, Clarins Joli Rouge in Clarins Red, MAC Apres Chic, MAC Lady Danger

Clarins Rouge Eclat in 20 Red Fuchsia

Hourglass Raven (Icon is another ravishing red but I don’t have that one)

Shiseido Perfect Rouge in RD553

Larie from EyeHeartIt

Rouge d’Armani 400 – perfect “true” red on me (not too blue, not too orange)

NARS Mascate – darker matte red that I call my supermodel lipstick…

MAC Lady Danger – the classic orange-red in a killer matte formula

Dior Trafalgar – and a similar orange-red, but in a glossier, comfortable finish

And if you want a glossy version, Maybelline Signature Scarlet

And everyday wear – MAC Dubonnet or Laura Mercier Mink

Carolyn from The Makeup Writeup (an NC30, Asian adventurer!)

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Envious

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in La Flamboyante

Chanel Rouge Allure gloss in Pirate

For sheerer reds, I also really like NARS Flamenco and Guerlain Rouge Automatique in #120 Coque D’Or

Revlon Matte Balm in Standout

Wet N WIld Megaslicks Balm Stain in Reddy Or Not

Rimmel Kate Moss in 01

L’Oreal Color Riche Caresse Wet Shine Stain in Endless Red

MAC Ruby Woo

MAC Red (had this, lost it, boo, but I’m probably going to pick it up again!)

MAC Russian Red (okay, so a friend had it and I tried it, but I love it! Looks AMAZING on deeper, warm skins)

Urban Decay Revolution in Bang

Lena from Lenallure

MAC Ruby Woo (looks nice on me but the formula pains me)

L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain Endless Love (a newfound love!)

Katie from Bellarosemu (a fair-light adventurer with yellow undertones)

MAC Ruby Woo over a red lipliner (looks like red velvet and makes me feel very classy and sophisticated)

MAC Diva (also a matte, but is a darker red. I feel like the most bad ass MF’er when I wear that. If I want to make it a bit less bad ass and a bit more red and glossy I like to put the Rimmel Apocalips/Show Offs in Big Bang over the top!)

Mica from Sciencekoekje (a neutral vampire!)

MAC Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick (Frost) – (Perfectly smooth and even hot red, lasts all dungeon-long, and even supports charity!)

Zaina from The Redity (a dusky, black haired adventurer!)

When going for day trip to beach/mountains/waterfalls where touch-ups will not be possible:
Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in Hot Hot Hot – Opaque matt red, stays on for 4-5 hours

For the party nights:
Revlon Colorbrust in True Red – Semi-sheer buildable red

Every day wear:
Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm in Pomegranate – Red tinted balm, color plus protection

To complement traditional (Indian) wear:
Maybelline Moisture Extreme in Cranberry – Brick red color, glossy finish with warm tones, best for tanned skin (this was my first red lipstick!)

For that extra shine:
Essence XXXL Shine Lip Gloss in Red Blossom – Inexpensive red lip-gloss with subtle gold shimmer

A very recent one, cause you know one can never have enough red lipsticks 😉

  2. Hooray, red lipsticks! My skintone is also vampire, i.e. cool-neutral and very pale; I have dark brown hair and green eyes. Here are some nice reds I’ve amassed over the years, most of them leaning cool:

-YSL Glossy Stain #11 Rouge Gouache: Bright pinky red with a lacquer finish.
-Maybelline Vivids lipstick in On Fire Red: Blue-red with a glossy finish and a very comfortable formula.
-Maybelline Vivids Lipstick in Vibrant Mandarin: This seems to look orange or pink on everyone else in the world, but it looks like a coral-red on me.
-NYX Matte Lipsticks in Bloody Mary and Alabama: Pinky red and brick-red, respectively. I love the NYX matte formula, too.
-NARS Sheer Lipstick in Flamenco: Semi-sheer, buildable cool red.
-Revlon Lip Butter in Red Velvet: Semi-sheer brick red, slightly more opaque than Flamenco.
-Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple: Semi-sheer orange-red.
-NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Mysterious Red: Not sure if I should mention this one, because it was limited edition for last fall, but it’s the perfect matte red. Slightly more cool than warm, but pretty much neutral. And perfect. Did I say perfect?

    • Thank you for all the awesome reds! 😀 I shall add them directly. Shall I take the liberty of linking to your posts, or are there particualr ones you’d lie linked to (if any)? 🙂

I think you might have said perfect. I’m not sure though. You should probably say it again, just to be safe… 😉

  3. You have a lot of amazing red lipsticks!!! I feel kinda bad, because my favorite red ever was a limited edition Tom Ford one (Diabolique). I’ve tried plenty of good reds, but there is something so special about that one. It’s not about the brand, either, as I am not that big of a fan of TF lipsticks in general.

    • Aww, it’s always the way – you find a favourite, and it’s either LE or gets discontinued… still, at least they keep coming out with reds every season, so maybe you’ll find a replacement! 😀 I’ll pop it up on the list anyway, because linking people to your blog is always a good idea, I find :-).

  4. My absolute favourite red lipstick forever is the Mac Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick Frost it even supports an HIV charity which i love. This lipstick is perfectly smooth gives an awesome even colouring and it stays all day with me. So even when the dungeon runs a bit longer, i do not need to worry about my lipstick. Though since i am a caster i am not likely to break a sweat anyway ;). My skin tone is as pale as it gets without any rosy undertones. Think elf or undead depending if you want to be nice ;).
I used the lipstick in my hot red lips tutorial

    • Ooh, that Rihanna one is awesome 🙂 I remember the gloss form that collection (I think) catching my eye too!

Hehe, I think most casters would be kind of horrified if theyhad to break a sweat, LOL! Can you imagine how those heavy robes would smell after a long dugeon if they did? 😀

  5. I am a loyal subject of The Lipstick Queen: Red Sinner, Saint Red, and Medieval, with Scarlet Red Sinner and Saint in supporting roles. By the way, I have wondered, given that Poppy King is Australian, if Lipstick Queen is easily available and reasonably priced in Australia and New Zealand. I also love the history of Revlon: Love That Red, Cherries in the Snow (sheered out with balm), the relatively newer Romance (serves as a good base for other reds),and lower your lipsticks to half-mast, the now discontinued matte Really Red.

    • …I think we still get Really Red here? I’m curious now – I’ll have to go and look! Was it a matte in the SL line? Or part of another line?

SO ENVIOUS – I really want to try Lipstick Queen! We did use to get a few here, but they phased it out, and I htin kthey’ve left NZ now 😦 Sadly, a product being made here or across the ditch usually doesn’t garner us any cheaper prices than the States! T_T They want us to buy NZ made, but then they sting us… *sigh*

      Thanks for your picks! 😀

      Like

      • Really Red was part of the matte line. You’ll still spot an odd tube in drugstores, as well as Amazon. Meanwhile, I shake my fist angrily at the lipstick gods on your behalf over Lipstick Queen. It’s not right. It’s not right.

        Like

      • Aah, I wondered. I thought I’d seen a few around, but I guess that makes sense – I mean, stuff shifts even slower here than it does elsewhere I imagine. Drugstores have sales sometimes and you’ll see OPI polishes from Gods alone knows when (none of the rare/HTF ones, I checked, LOL!).

Yeah, there’s a lot of that Lipstick Queen type stuff that goes on around here. Add to that the stuff that’s all ‘Made in New Zealandorganichealthywonderfulsunshineandrainbowsbuymenow’, that costs the same here as it does in the States…or sometimes even more… *sobs*

  6. Wow, seriously every shade looks so awesome on you. I just saved this page for the future reference. I still don’t have “the red lipstick” for me. MAC Ruby Woo looks nice on me but the formula pains me. If not a lipstick, L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain Endless Love (maybe a different name in other countries) is a new found love for me. 🙂

    Like

    • Hehe, thanks 😉 I hope the page will be super useful for you!! 😀

Maybe you’ll find your perfect red here…

Thanks for the ones you have given me, though! Do you have links you’d like put in for them?

  7. Wow I had no idea you had so many red lipsticks!!! Now I know who to turn to the next time I’m shopping for my new red lipstick! ;D I totally got it when you mentioned about wearing red for the first time. I WAS just like that!!! Woah, look at me, all grown up! ;D Something about red, though, so powerful, and bold, and yes, makes you feel 10 feet tall. Haha.

My contribution will be very small because I don’t have that many red lipsticks. The ones I have and kind of like are MAC Riri Woo and Stila Beso. Riri Woo is more toned down while Beso is OUTRIGHT BRIGHT RED! I’m NC30 and think they both look nice on me. 🙂

  8. Red!!! rightly said Sly, there is a red for everyone.

My skin tone is dusky, hair color – black. I’ve a few red for different occasions, first up the top three red lip-colors:

When going for day trip to beach/mountains/waterfalls where touch-ups will not be possible:
Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in Hot Hot Hot – Opaque matt red, stays on for 4-5 hours

    For the party nights:
Revlon Colorbrust in True Red – Semi-sheer buildable red (Swatch here http://redity.wordpress.com/2014/06/04/some-red-to-welcome-season-of-rains-revlon-colorburst-lipstick-in-true-red/ )

    Every day wear:
Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm in Pomegranate – Red tinted balm, color plus protection

    Other reds which are loved:

    To complement traditional wear:
Maybelline Moisture Extreme in Cranberry – Brick red color, glossy finish with warm tones, best for tanned skin (this was my first red lipstick!)

    For that extra shine:
Essence XXXL Shine Lip Gloss in Red Blossom – Inexpensive red lip-gloss with subtle gold shimmer

A very recent one, cause you know one can never have enough red lipsticks 😉
Street Wear Color Rich Ultra Moist Lipsticks in Riveting Rouge – Satin finish cool red with great coverage quality
    (Swatch here http://redity.wordpress.com/2014/10/12/street-wear-color-rich-ultra-moist-lipsticks-berrylicious-and-riveting-rouge/ )

Next, I want to try a red from Revlon Super lustrous range, and I will be looking at the guide to find a warmer red color for me.

    • Hehe, I was expecting an epic list from you ,and I was not disappointed 😀

Indeed, one can never really have enough red lipsticks. There are so many nuances, you know 😉

By the way: when you say ‘traditional wear’, I assume you mean traditional Indian dress? I added that on the blog to make it clear for people, but I wanted to check I was correct! Let me know if I need to change it 🙂

  9. I LOVE red lipsticks! I would wear them everyday if I could get away with it at work. My top two are from MAC (boring, I know). Ruby Woo over a red lipliner looks like red velvet and makes me feel very classy and sophisticated. Diva is also a matte, but is a darker red. I feel like the most bad ass MF’er when I wear that. If I want to make it a bit less bad ass and a bit more red and glossy I like to put the Rimmel Apocalips/Show Offs in Big Bang over the top. For reference I have fair/light skin with a yellow undertone.

  10. My fiercest, most battle-ready reds are NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella, a deep, dark, intense scarlet red, and Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Ruby, an intensely bright blood red. Want something just a bit less bright? Then I turn to Clinique Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick in Matte Crimson. Or want something with a bit of sparkle and a bit of pink? Then wear Urban Decay Super Saturated High Gloss Lipstick in Scandal. Want the pink tone with some shine but no sparkle? NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Luxemborg, a watermelon, or Too Faced La Creme in Jelly Bean, a raspberry red, will do the trick. Want a darker, more complex, subdued red? Limited Edition MAC Lustre lipstick in Gospel will work. Shy about wearing red? Lipstick Queen Medieval is subdued and sheer. Need a pencil that will work with most of these? Clinique Quickliner for Lips in Rich Red works well. Need to touch up a red without a mirror? Keep Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Cherry in your bag.

For reference, my complexion is fair/light (about NW 20-ish) with strongly cool undertones and some golden tan on top — these reds all lean a bit toward the blue end of the spectrum, I think, except maybe not Gospel, with the pinky-reds leaning coolest.

I definitely want to try Fire & Ice, the NYX Butter Gloss, and the two Lancome shades that you told us about above! These guides are a great idea, I love to read everyone’s suggestions. Please remember to do berries and purples!

    Like

    • Woop woop! :-d Thanks for the epic list!! 😀 I have added them just now (haven’t updated the page yet, in cas you’re checking 😉 )

The two lancome shades, especially the Absolu Rouge one, are really underappreciated, I think! I never tend to hear about/see reviews of Lancome lipsticks, but they make some really good ones. I can’t thin why I haven’t reviewed those two properly yet…

Berries and purples are on the list, never fear! Along with nudes, corals and vamps 😉

    My favorites:
Rouge d’Armani 400 – perfect “true” red on me (not too blue, not too orange)
    http://eyeheartit.blogspot.com/2012/11/rouge-darmani-400-wedding-day-red.html

NARS Mascate – darker matte red that I call my supermodel lipstick…

MAC Lady Danger – the classic orange-red in a killer matte formula

And if you want a glossy version, Maybelline Signature Scarlet:

  12. I am also a vampire, but one that looks like she’s fed recently – I am barely warm-neutral, not cool. I don’t wear red lipstick, sadly. It’s just too arresting for my coloring, to use your phrase. I can wear dark colors, but I tend towards dark rose and berries! Are those coming too? I hope!

    Like

    • Nicely put on the vampire description! 😀

Yeah, red is pretty ‘all up in yo’ FACE’ (in both senses) when you’re as pale as we are. There’s a plus side to that, but it’shard to pull off during the daytime unless you’re really into arresting lipsticks in general. Even then I find people react less strongly to me wearing blackened purple (MUFE 49) than they do to me wearing red…!

Berries are most certainly on the list! Depending on how dark your dark rose is, it might fit there too, or it might fit in the ‘vamps’ one that shall also eventuate? 🙂

  13. Ooooooh, you look ravishing in red – particularly Lancome #132. 😉 For everyday, that NYX gloss looks super pretty as well!

I didn’t get into grown up reds until like last year, and now I just like them ALL, lol. Here are some that I’ve reviewed:

YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 01 Le Rouge, Clarins Joli Rouge in Clarins Red, MAC Apres Chic, MAC Lady Danger

    http://beautyreductionista.blogspot.ca/2014/01/the-lipstick-tag.html

Clarins Rouge Eclat in 20 Red Fuchsia

Hourglass Raven (Icon is another ravishing red but I don’t have that one)

    • Not gonna lie, that Lancome one really is a stunner. I’ve worn it to give two very important talks, and people love it (especially as my research revolves around the colour red, and I can actually say that my lipstick contains one of the molecules I study!). Bonus: it’s also comfortable and hydrating. BOOM.

Thanks for all your picks! I shall add them directly 😀 I can totally see you trying your first red and being like OMGINEEDALLTHEREDSNAO 😀

I really liked what you said about being “battle ready”. That’s actually the main inspiration behind my blog name — I see makeup and all that as a way of bolstering confidence, amongst other things. So I went with some of the tools you wield, like weapons alongside your war paint – hence “Brush and Bullet”.

So can I just link my reds here? I’ve only done a few posts so far, as you’ll have seen:

Yes, please do link them! 😀 That’s what this guide is all about. Is a review of Red Sinner perhaps in the works? Hmmm? 😛

  15. I have so many reds. but hardly wear any of them… outside the house, that is.

So, for reference, I’m NC42, and Indian (warm yellow undertones!)

    The reds I really like:

    * Revlon Matte Balm in Standout
    * Wet N WIld Megaslicks Balm Stain in Reddy Or Not
    * Rimmel Kate Moss in 01
    * L’Oreal Color Riche Caresse Wet Shine Stain in Endless Red
    * MAC Ruby Woo
    * MAC Red (had this, lost it, boo, but I’m probably going to pick it up again!)
    * MAC Russian Red (okay, so a friend had it and I tried it, but I love it! Looks AMAZING on deeper, warm skins)
    * Urban Decay Revolution in F-bomb
    * Urban Decay Revolution in Bang

I’m sure I have more, but I can’t remember them. Whoopsies.

    • Woop woop! 😀 Thank you for so many awesome reds for the guide! 😀 I shall be updating it in a couple of minutes, so yours will be up then 🙂

I totally want Bang, despite not being sure about the colour on me, LOL!

  21. Red lipstick is my beauty kryptonite! I love so many of them, but the absolute favorites that haven’t already been mentioned are Rouge Bunny Rouge Colour Burst lipstick in Raw Silence and Guerlain Rouge G in Garconne. And for an incredible vampy lip, Kevyn Aucoin Expert Lip Color in Bloodroses!

    • Hi Jessa! 😀 Welcome to the Painted Rogue! ^_^

Lipstick in general is my Kryptonite, LOL! I feel your pain 😉

Thank you for your contributions 😀 One more thing – do you have a description of your colouring that you’d like to put with your pics so that people can match themselves more easily? (not compulsory though!).

      • Oops, I forgot that part! I’m fair-skinned with fairly neutral undertones, and usually wear the second-lightest shade in most foundation lines. I have a strong preference for cool-toned reds that are highly pigmented and intense.

One more pick that I forgot, for lovers of warm reds–Besame Cosmetics Classic Color Lipstick in Red Hot Red is amazing!

  22. My number one red lipstick has to be Lipstick Queen Velvet Rope in Entourage (berry/wine red) or Black Tie (cool blue tone red). The best in terms of formula and wear. Should you feel the need for shine, I love Dior Fluid Stick in 975 Minuit. I’m new to your blog (came from Sunny) and I’m loving the whole vibe. Viva the red lip!!! The very best to you.

    • Hi Maria! Thank you so much for your contributions! I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to reply to you – my PhD thesis is due in less than a month, so things are pretty crazy around here right now! Thank you also for your kind words ^_^. When I unbury myself from this damn thesis, I am going to be ALL OVER your blog. Like a rogue rash, as it were (don’t scratch). 😛

Lipstick Queen lipsticks are top of my to-try list at the moment. I think I want almost all of them, but I have a real soft spot for the way Let Them Eat Cake looks 😉

Welcome to the Painted Rogue! ❤

      • Hello Syl,

No need to apologize, you all have a life outside the beauty blogging world and it comes first. A PhD thesis is very stressful, I’m surprised you find the time to do as much as you do. I must commend you for taking your education to the next level. I swore after obtaining my Master’s Degree, I would never pick up another text book again 🙂

I wish you an abundance of luck with your thesis…be strong, it is almost over. Then we can celebrate with a little lipstick talk 🙂

      • (((((Maria))))) You’re so kind ^_^ Yeah, I kind of started my PhD directly after 4th year undergrad, and a Masters would probably have cured me of the desire too, LOL!

Looking forward to the lipstick talk! 😀 What was your Masters in?
