Greetings from the depths of a thicket of deadlines, fellow rogues!
As you may have seen in my recent Beauty Spotlight Team post, I’ve been questing my way through some particularly sticky and unpleasant deadline territory at the moment! As a result, I haven’t had as much time as I’d like (or the light, for that matter) to get swatchy and look-y posts together for you as quickly as I want to! They’re in the works, but a rogue never leaves her fellow adventurers in the lurch! While I finish beating my way through this thicket, I hope you’ll accept some pretty food, beauty and ballet related pictures! 😉
I know it’s been a pressing concern for many of you: just what *does* a rogue’s every day life look like? What does she eat? How does she do her nails? for the love of the Gods, what is the pattern on her ballet gear!?!1?! 😀 Fear not that ye shall never know, for now is your chance to find out!
What’s in the pies?! Any guesses? They are the happiest pies in the world, you know. Also, adorable individual pie dishes are adorable.

How awesome is purple nail polish? The awesomest, as it brings together the two awesome colors of red and blue.
Any recipes you’d like? The recipe for success
#teamcrumble or #teampie? (I think it’s #teamcrisp in the US?) In the US, crumbles have oats in the topping, and crisps do not. I am #teamcrumble (but I won’t turn down any of them)
What would you wear to an adventurers’ ballet class? (anything goes!). My wedding dress. It would be hard as heck to dance in, but I only got to wear it once and it cost a ton of money, so I need some uses for it. The adventurous part will be trying to fit in it after 23 years.

Aha! You learn something new every day! The crumble in the picture is definitely a crumble then, as I put oats in, but usually it would be a crisp (as I do not…) 🙂
High fives for the wedding dress idea! I got to wear mine twice (same wizard, two countries), but I still totally want to wear it for other occasions. The $$$, you know (although I regret nothing – it’s awesome).

Heh, the weather’s been miserable over here the last few days, so sweaters have been very much in order. It’s humid too, so the cold kind of sticks. Despite the fact that it’s not actually that cold (according to the thermometer), I’m wearing two sweaters…

Depends on the modificator of the nail polish bottle. If it was a +10 one: As awesome as a Holy Smiter.

ROFL ‘pie mimic’ 😀 How terrifying would that be? You go to eat your pie, and all of a sudden it’s eating *your* face off.
That dwarf, man…that dwarf. You’d think he’d have filled up on all that Gnomish mushroom stew (Brandobyn is looking for him, by the way)…
I like the red plume concept. Gives it that ‘expressive’ edge that chainmail lacks. 😉

Purple nail polish is awesome, but I actually don’t own any currently myself (I had one previously and it went bad). And it’s too hard to choose between pie and crumbles/crisps! I choose all of them ;).

LOL, ‘minced happy face’. The pies are only small, actually, so the paladin can probably pack a way quite a few (unless the wizard gets there first – MAN can that guy pack away pie).

I’ve been wanting to take adult ballet lessons for a while but unwilling to commit, so I’m doing this posture exercise via YouTube and admiring all the pretty ballet gear that’s recently turned up on Net-a-Porter. But if I were to attend this fabulous class, I’d probably show up in the tight black Nike exercisewear that I neglected for years because I was also unwilling to commit to The Gym. Hmmm… I think the adventurers would just kick me out if I showed up. LOL

Aww, you’re so kind! I do have a few other random rogue skills, but if I told you about them, I’d have to kill you, of course ;-).
You totally need to get into adult ballet!!! Seriously, don’t even get me started, because I am positively evangelical about this stuff… I may be looking at a move soon, and literally the first thing I thought of was WHATAMIGOINGTODOABOUTBALLETOMG?!? There are no downsides, really – it’s fantastic exercise (my ladylike six pack says hello), you become insanely in touch with your body and how it moves, you get to feel pretty, and the gear is totally awesome!

Aww, you should totally come along to the class! I remember when I first started. and we were doing pas de bourree for the first time, I COULD NOT work out how it was done. I was moritifed. It’s like the most basic step ever. But I got it after a bit! Also, before I started, I used to turn my ankle at least once a day (even in flat shoes). Now I haven’t turned an ankle in three years…
However, if you’re really not keen (totally legit position), you should still come along to throw shuriken at the cleric if he starts showing off too much (put that guy in a tutu, and I swear…) 😉

The pies are sort of a combo of a bunch of stuff we had lying around, but are mainly steak and eggplant, with a healthy dose of cheese. Because obviously, everything is better with cheese.
Magic missiles ftw! So long as it keeps that cleric in check… 😉

I distinguish between them as pancake – thick and crepe = thin, but it probably depends where you’re from. 😉
