Greetings from the head of the party, fellow rogues!
No, I haven’t discovered a trap (unless you’re watching out for your wallet at the moment!), it’s something much better! Loot! After an epic wait and much faffing about by Revlon, their Lacquer and Matte Balms have landed in Middle Earth (NZ)! They’ve actually been out for a few days already at Farmers, but I’ve only been able to get to the Revlon stands at the Unichem pharmacies on Queen St. As a bonus – said Unichem pharmacies are currently having a deal – two Revlon lip products for $30. These chubby pencils usually retail for $20.50 each, so if you’ve been waiting for them, now is a good time to be nabbing a few!
But enough of all that – you want to see the pretty pictures, yes? The loot? Well, here you are!
When I had finished hyperventilating over this hoard I discovered, I noted that the testers were all still pretty pristine – so I had a mega swatch fest, both for myself and for all you people out there whose day isn’t complete without seeing coloured stripes on a rogue’s vampiric inner forearm. You’re welcome.
First up, the Lacquer Balms:
Next: the Matte Balms:
Right! Now I have a little contest for you: I purchased two of these 20 shades on that deal I mentioned above! If you’re feeling in a betting mood, you can guess which ones they were! The prize for the first three people to correctly comment identifying the two shades will receive a custom prize badge (image) that they can display proudly on their blog, computer desktop, adventuring board etc. I haven’t thought exacty what I’ll name the prize yet, but I’ll try and be amusing – this is a bit of a silly competition, after all. Remember to justify why you think I would choose the two shades you’re guessing – prizes for originality/rogueish appropriateness are also available!
Happy Looting!
Until next time, fellow rogues, don’t forget to check for loot as well as traps!

20 shades, multiple combinations… hmmm… I’ll come back with my final guess 🙂

Aww, I’ve already posted the results – I would have loved to hear your guess! I think I’ll be doing another competition like this in the future though – it was fun! – so maybe I’ll get to hear your guess then 😉

Unapologetic and Shameless, which I shamelessly chose because they’re my favorites. But ALSO because if a rogue spends a lot of time apologizing and feeling ashamed, there’s much less time for looting.

I totally agree. If you ckeck out my new post, you’ll see how you did – and why Unapologetic was actually an excellent guess! 😀

Shameless and Whimsical? I have Unapologetic, and it’s my actual fave. Standout showed up oddly brown on my lips, which was a total disappointment,

Ding Ding Ding! 😀 Great guessing! Right on both counts – two critical hits!

I am going to say you are Shameless(ly) Flirtatious. And if you didn’t pick up Shameless, I’ve been out manuvered by a rogue agent.

Nope, I think it would have been impossible for me to deceive people about Shameless without actually just deliberately getting something different. But, you understand of course, I HAD to get it. I mean, VIOLET! Seriously.

I’m gonna guess Shameless and Elusive, because I know your love of violets and I think Elusive is a very attractive shade in the line, and fits your Rogue personality!

Oh you guys got these! Those matte ones seem really intense!

Yes! Finally! 😀 The matte ones do indeed seem really intense across the board. I only have one so far, but I was really impressed with how opaque it was in a single pass! I only wish my lips had been in better shape to do it better justice, heh.

I’ve been having a hard time submitting my comment on this post. I don’t know what’s wrong with my account! 😦
But I’m gonna try again.
So, congrats on getting these lippies! I’d love to guess the two colors you picked but I don’t know your makeup style enough just yet so I’ll save it for later time. 😀 I have the matte balm version and I love it! Great quality product at a good price. Although, I just did a calculation and 20 NZ Dollars is like US$17?! OMG, how can anyone afford to buy makeup there?! The mark-up is totally ridic!!! >.<

Hehe, did you see my comment to Erin the other time? I was looking for a good example of hilarious markups/prices, and discovered that By Terry lipglosses are $94 each here. That was not a typo. $94. 😛
I’m sorry you’re having trouble with the comments! 😦 Is there something I can do at this end to help?

I need Audacious, Showy, Standout, and Provocateur! My coin purse is to light to afford them all so I may have to stalk the magical interweb for the illusive BOGO!

I’d love to take advantage of that 2 for $30 deal I mentioned, but even though it’s a ‘deal’, you’re still spending a reasonable amount 😛
