Would you Rather…? Tag!

Greetings from in front of two apparently identical doors, fellow rogues!

This is a quick post today (excitement and wonder is coming tomorrow, so stay tuned!), because I wanted to celebrate the first opportunity I have had to do a ‘Tag’ post. Melissa (the multilingual mage over at Kiss and Makeup) did this tag recently, and was kind enough to leave an open-ended tag at the end. Never one to miss an opportunity to talk about myself, I siezed this chance to have a bit of a laugh while doing it.

So, without further ado, I bring you the ‘Would you rather…’ tag, in which one is confronted, sphinx-style, with a number of pressing conundrums, mostly related to beauty. Will your favourite rogue make it through this harrowing intellectual ordeal? Read on to find out!

Tag: Would You Rather…

Sigryn was never good at choosing. When you have a large edged weapon on your side, the only choice you usually have to make is ‘Swing or don’t swing?’

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lip glosses or all of your palettes and eyes shadows?

Much as I would be devastated to lose my new best friend (Tarte’s magnificent MATTEnificent palette), there is no possible way I (given this particular choice) could give up my eyeliners and lip products. A bright lipstick has the power to make me feel unstoppable and happy, so I’d be loath to give that up! Besides, what would I use as orc repellent?

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

Hm…for personal purposes, I’d rather never cut it again. For practical ones I feel that never being able to cut your hair would get pretty inconvenient after a while, but then I haven’t had a haircut in nearly 4 years, so…

What?! Stop looking at me like that…I call it my ‘thesis hair’. If guys can have thesis beards… 😀

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or pink cheek?

*Phew*this one’s a bit easier. Definitely a pink cheek! Gives me that ‘just dueled with a drow’ look. Coral makes me look a bit eldritch-burned, I feel.

Pinks and blue-based reds, people. These are the way to go. Trust me, I’m a rogue ;-).

4. If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or make-up?

Clothes, for sure. Being a rogue is pretty hard on clothes, actually. Once you get gelatinous cube on them, you never get it off. Actually, it dissolves the fabric. So, yeah.

Susie knows the power of a well-chosen outfit. A bard can never have too many, really.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?

Eyeliner as lipstick, definitely. It can be the only way to get close to some of the colour effects you might like to achieve! I feel that lipstick as eyeliner would be a gooey mess after about 5 minutes 😉

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

Well, Sephoras don’t exist in Middle Earth, but if they did, I’d definitely shop there. MAC might make some cool stuff, but definitely not all of their products are perfect, and choice is a wonderful thing. Also price. MAC makes a Middle-Earth girl’s gold pouch weep.

7. Would you rather use only one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

Only one eyeshadow colour, definitely! I love me some variety in my lipsticks.

Some people may call you an evil dark dwarf. These are the people who don’t stop to think that maybe your frown is due to the fact that you just can’t decide which eyeshadow to wear! Honestly, some people…

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

This is a little skewed for me as there aren’t really seasons in dungeons, unless you count ice caves and lava deposits. However, when you encounter these is kind of random. So, I’m going to have go with neither, and cheatily invent my own category: rogue clothes in adventure time!

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

For practicality, probably dark nails (interferes with your stealth rolls less). But I would most definitely miss my bright colours, as they can really cheer up a dingy dungeon!

Not gonna lie, it’s be pretty hard to give up colours like this…

10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

Would have to be my favourite eye product (I’m not sure if I have one…). My lips get way too dry, and I love my lipstick way too much to let go of my favourite lip products! You try chasing giant spiders around a draughty, dusty catacomb for three hours and see how your lips feel! Damn things were invisible too…the spiders, not my lips, obviously…

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or messy bun?

I’m going to have to go with messy bun. I do often wear my hair in a ponytail, and I like it, but if I could never do it another way, buns are more practical for both dungeoneering and ballet (although I’d probably get frustrated with the messiness!). Slapping yourself in the face with a not-cut-in-four-years-length ponytail during a pirouette or having a troll use it to pick you up by are not fun experiences, kids. Take it from a rogue who knows.
12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss again?

Since this choice doesn’t exclude glossy, moisturising lipsticks, it’s easy! The lipgloss goes!

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?

I…just…can’t. Nope. Can’t choose. If forced at beholder-point, I’d have to say having no eyebrows would be better. Sharpies don’t even come in the right colour for me to even be able to *attempt* making a ‘realistic’ sharpie brow. I’d rather go bare!

14. Would you rather live without make up or nail polish?

I think I’d give up the nail polish first, because makeup includes lip products 😉 If I can at least have my lip balm, then you could take it all away…but I’d rather you didn’t of course. In fact, we might have to have *words*.

Liiiip…proooduuuuuctss…. (no, that’s not a zombie, it’s just me when contemplating my favourite makeup items)

15. Would you rather listen to Justin Bieber or One Direction?

*crickets chirp* What is a Bieber? If I can only go in One Direction past this Sphinx, and this is the choice that takes me there, then I’ll have to go with…One Direction?
